Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, mobile applications, APIs, AI-enabled interfaces, products, services and other digital platforms made available by Coverfox Insurance Broking Private Limited ("Coverfox", "we", "our", or "us") (collectively, the "Platform").

Coverfox Insurance Broking Private Limited is a licensed insurance broker regulated by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India ("IRDAI").

Coverfox acts solely as an insurance intermediary and technology platform and does not underwrite insurance products. Insurance policies are issued and underwritten by respective insurers in accordance with their underwriting guidelines, policy terms and applicable laws.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy and applicable laws and regulations.

2. Scope of Services

Coverfox provides a digital platform that enables users to:

  • compare insurance products and pricing;
  • purchase, renew or manage insurance policies;
  • receive insurance-related information and recommendations;
  • access customer support and claims assistance services;
  • interact with AI-enabled support and recommendation systems;
  • and avail certain value-added services offered by Coverfox or third-party partners.

Any comparison, recommendation, premium quote, savings illustration, eligibility assessment or product information available on the Platform is indicative and subject to:

  • insurer underwriting,
  • policy terms and conditions,
  • verification requirements,
  • regulatory guidelines,
  • and final approval by the insurer.

The final decision regarding policy issuance, coverage, premium, claims settlement or rejection shall at all times rest solely with the respective insurer.

3. User Eligibility and Responsibilities

By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that:

  • you are legally competent to enter into a binding contract under applicable law;
  • all information submitted by you is true, accurate and complete;
  • you shall promptly update information where required;
  • you shall use the Platform only for lawful purposes.

You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities undertaken through your account.

You agree not to:

  • misuse the Platform or its services;
  • attempt unauthorized access to systems or networks;
  • interfere with Platform functionality or security;
  • upload malicious code or harmful content;
  • use bots, scraping tools or automated extraction mechanisms without authorization;
  • impersonate another person or entity;
  • or use the Platform in violation of applicable law.

4. AI-Enabled Features and Automated Services

Certain features of the Platform may use artificial intelligence ("AI"), machine learning systems, automated tools, chatbots, recommendation engines or predictive technologies to provide:

  • customer assistance,
  • policy recommendations,
  • automated responses,
  • document processing,
  • fraud detection,
  • analytics,
  • and service enhancements.

AI-generated outputs may occasionally contain inaccuracies, omissions, errors, delays, incomplete information or unintended results. Such outputs are generated using automated systems based on available information, user inputs and probabilistic models, and may not always reflect the latest insurer guidelines, underwriting practices, policy terms or regulatory developments.

Users are advised to independently verify policy documents, coverage details, exclusions, benefits, premium amounts and insurer communications before making any financial or insurance decision.

Coverfox does not warrant that AI-generated outputs or automated services will always be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure or fit for any specific purpose.

To the extent permitted under applicable law, Coverfox shall not be liable for any loss or decision arising solely from reliance on AI-generated outputs without independent verification.

Coverfox may monitor, record and review AI interactions for security, fraud prevention, quality assurance, analytics, compliance and service improvement purposes.

5. Premium Collection and Insurance Issuance

Coverfox may facilitate collection of insurance premium payments on behalf of insurers in accordance with applicable law and IRDAI regulations.

Payment of premium through the Platform does not guarantee:

  • issuance of a policy,
  • acceptance of risk,
  • continuation of coverage,
  • or approval of claims.

Policy issuance and acceptance of risk shall remain subject to:

  • insurer underwriting norms,
  • document verification,
  • fraud checks,
  • payment realization,
  • and regulatory requirements.

In cases where a policy is not issued, cancelled or declined, refunds shall be processed in accordance with applicable insurer processes and regulatory timelines.

6. Third-Party Services and Integrations

The Platform may contain links, integrations or access to third-party insurers, service providers, garages, payment gateways, analytics providers, healthcare providers, assistance partners or other external platforms.

Such third-party services are governed by their own terms, conditions and privacy policies.

Coverfox does not control and shall not be responsible for:

  • availability of third-party services,
  • service quality,
  • timelines,
  • accuracy of information,
  • acts or omissions of third parties,
  • or third-party system failures.

Any engagement with third-party services shall be at the user's own discretion and risk.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, technology, software, trademarks, logos, designs, interfaces, graphics, text, databases and materials available on the Platform are owned by or licensed to Coverfox and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

Users shall not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, commercially exploit or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without prior written consent from Coverfox.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Collection, processing and handling of personal information shall be governed by the Privacy Policy available on the Platform.

By using the Platform, you consent to such collection and processing in accordance with applicable laws.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform and all services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Coverfox does not guarantee that:

  • the Platform will operate uninterrupted or error-free;
  • defects will always be corrected;
  • the Platform will be free from cyber threats, viruses or vulnerabilities;
  • information on the Platform will always be accurate, complete or current;
  • or that services will meet every user requirement.

Insurance products are subject to insurer terms, conditions, exclusions and underwriting guidelines.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Coverfox, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, partners and service providers shall not be liable for:

  • indirect, incidental, punitive, special or consequential damages;
  • loss of profits, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or data;
  • insurer underwriting or claims decisions;
  • delays or service interruptions;
  • unauthorized access, cyber incidents or system failures;
  • inaccuracies in third-party or AI-generated content;
  • or events beyond reasonable control, including force majeure events.

User acknowledges that use of the Platform is at their sole risk.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Coverfox, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees and partners against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses arising from:

  • your breach of these Terms;
  • misuse of the Platform;
  • violation of applicable law;
  • infringement of third-party rights;
  • fraudulent activity;
  • or unauthorized use of your account.

12. Suspension and Termination

Coverfox reserves the right to suspend, restrict or terminate access to the Platform or services, with or without notice, in case of:

  • breach of these Terms;
  • suspected fraud or unlawful activity;
  • regulatory requirements;
  • cybersecurity concerns;
  • misuse of services;
  • or operational or technical reasons.

13. Modifications to Services or Terms

Coverfox reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Platform, products, services or features at any time without prior notice.

These Terms may also be updated periodically. Updated Terms shall become effective upon publication on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to the Platform or these Terms.
